About Us
Jonas Angus, a world renowned TPE veteran with over 25 years
experience is the founder and President/CEO of TPE Solutions,Inc.
 Jonas
Angus, P. Eng., graduated from the University of New Brunswick,
Fredericton, N.B., Canada in 1982 with a BS degree in Mechanical
Engineering. After graduation, he joined POLYSAR LTD in Sarnia, Ontario,
Canada where he held various engineering positions related to the
manufacture of petrochemical, latex, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber EPDM/ PP
and Butyl/PP base thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs).
 Mr. Angus was one of the original team members of the Sarlink TPE
business, which was purchased from Polysar/Nova by DSM of the Netherlands.
He remained with the DSM Sarlink TPE business untill 1996 where he
continued to handle various engineering positions including product
(compound) development, process development, application development,
technical service and sales as well as the market manager position for E &
E, Building & Construction and Automotive Weatherseals.
Mr. Angus took a sabbatical from TPEs for three (3) years and joined TICONA
(Hoechst Celanese) as Marketing & Sales Manager for Powertrain
applications with advanced engineering plastics such as PPS, PA66,
POLYESTER and ACETAL.
His entrepreneurial spirit saw Angus go solo when he co-founded
Thermoplastic Rubber Systems, Inc. in Shirley, Massachusetts, USA, in the
year 2000, where he served as President & CEO. He co-developed the
NexPrene TPV ( EPDM/PP ) product which has gained world approvals in
Automotive, Building & Construction, Wire & Cable , FDA , Medical and NSF
applications. In Feb 2004, Thermoplastic Rubber Systems,Inc was acquired
by Solvay Engineered Polymers.
Currently, as President of TPE Solutions,Inc. customers will benefit
by obtaining proper recommendation for the right TPE product or grade to
"best fit" their application needs. |
